A Sherpa yak herder harnesses his animals at Tengboche Monastery, a spiritual center for the Sherpa people of Nepal. This picture was shot in 1986 before the monastery was destroyed in an 1989 electrical fire and subsequently rebuilt in a more modern form. Mpunt Everst rises in the background.
