Young King Penguins called "Oakum Boys" encircle a resting Elephant Seal at a rookery on South Georgia Island, Antarctica. King chicks are very curious and will wander far when exploring their surroundings. They often gather in a group called a crèche and are watched over by only a few adults; most parents leave their chicks in these crèches to forage for themselves and their offspring.
